Among the 128 men and women trying to qualify for the singles main draws were also 13 male and 5 female professionals with a past in college tennis. One of them got through the qualifying and joined the pre-qualified 8 men and 3 women in the singles main draws of the US Open. Today's Friday Scholarship Guide features a look at this year's college tennis involvement:
